Had a crack in a lower molar that needed to have a crown put on. I had no pain when chewing or otherwise and it was found on a 6 month checkup. I decided to wait until the next 6 month checkup and then sometime after that I was scheduled for the crown. It was completed in one appointment with the new process. I think, for the old process a temporary crown is used while the real crown is made in a lab necessitating multiple appointments to then install the crown after the first appointment. This seemed to be a great time saver. I did have to wait around for about 45-60 minutes but that beats two or more appointments to have the crown installed. A model was my teeth was made by a digital scanner and a tooth mold for back up purposes. My mouth was anesthetized. My molar was then shaved off to make room for the crown, and then the crown was made while I sat there in the office. During the wait, there were a couple checks or exams for fitting and coloring of the crown to match the color of my teeth. Then Dr DeVaney and Amanda installed the crown with lots of checks to insure a good fit and bite. As a lot of people can be, a trip to the dentist is not the most desired thing to do. I got a bit anxious at having my mouth propped open and Dr DeVaney and Amanda were able to work around that bit of anxiety. I had a dental implant done about a year ago and had my mouth propped open and was okay with it then. If some detail of this not exactly 100% correct I am sure that the staff can correct any of my description. I was in at 9 am and done by 12:15.
I was experiencing a lot of tooth pain from a wisdom tooth. Devaney Dentistry was able to get me in quickly for a consultation and make an appointment for extraction the next day. The staff is inviting and kind and made the process very smooth. Should I need any more teeth removed or any other dental attention, I will definitely be returning here!
Dr. Devaney and his entire staff ROCKS!! I have been a patient of Dr. D's for many years and they always take great care of me, from routine cleanings to crowns to wisdom teeth removal. Just the other day I had an appointment to get a crown, because of my work travel schedule, this visit consisted of prepping and delivering my permanent crown on one visit. Everything went great, even after the numbing medication wore off, no soreness or is comfort at all since then. I totally recommend Devaney Dentistry to anyone looking for a great and caring place for your all of your dental needs.
Great staff and dentist! Everyone at this practice is so friendly and welcoming. They are gentle and make going to the dentist somewhat bearable!
Dr DeVaney is an excellent dentist. I went to him many years ago terrified of the dentist. I had meant him and told him my experience and he told me to give him a chance so I did and so did my best friend who was also terrified of the dentist. You are not just a patient, him and his staff actually care about your well being. Dr DeVaney has been very patient with me in trying to help me overcome my fear of the dentist. He never hesitated to take extra time with me if I needed it. I just went through a pretty big surgery with him and I couldn't of asked for better care. His staff is wonderful from the moment you walk in the door to all the girls that work with him. They deserve 10 stars.
